Unsuitable feeding would make the product size become bigger, and bring more return capacity, which cause "bloated" phenomenon for grid type ball mill. It also means overload of the ball mill. Under this situation, the operation voice sound dull and weak, which means lost the grinding function. At the moment, operator should immediately reduce or stop the feeding, and improve the overflow concentration. Feeding again after the normal work is resumed
Inadequate feeding would make the product size become smaller, and bring less return capacity, which cause the impact between linear and steel ball. The extra impact will lead to consumption increasing.
Feeding size increasing or decreasing also causes the same results as feeding capacity when the feeding capacity is fixed.

The even feeding keeping mainly depends on the constant observation of operating personnel. The problems generally occur in the handover, so some places should be carefully checked, including main bearings and transmission bearing; transmission system of classifier and feeder operation; the amount of lubricating oil; situation of grinding medium; reserves in ore bin, the mill discharge, classifier overflow and sand return. Only checking carefully can ensure the smooth operation of the ball mill, and reach a stable production target.
The original beneficiation process of the gold mine was all slime cyanidation CIP process. Because of the change of mining method, the mud content reached more than 15%, which makes the leaching period longer and limited processing capacity; the flotation recovery rate decreased; the production cost became higher.
